I'll admit that I am not very well versed in the Mule Team releases or numbering, but was wondering if I missed #30, or if its a Spyderco thing to skip numbers? Honestly, more curious than anything.

Spyderco Factory Outlet has Nativechief s90v in stock right now...

Edit: They’re gone now.

Makes you wonder if they just make/sell one at a time. LOL! ;)

Wasn't planning on doing so but when 1 popped up while I was looking at the site, I just bought it and immediately after I did, it went right "out of stock." Same thing happened to the Pattadese that I bought.

Update 2/16/21:

Just received the Sprint CF S90V Native Chief.

I like it but am not "in love" with it because "at 1st glance" it looks identical to my G10 Native Chief. Would be "in love" w/it if it came w/contoured and fluted CF scales like my S90V Native.

Keeping it for now to pair the G10 & CF S90V Native Chief w/the G10 & Fluted CF Native in my collection but it would be more compelling "keeper" if it were fluted too.

Anyone out there know how to contour and flute CF Spyderco scales?

Note to Sal:

Any possibility that the company that fluted the CF S90V Native could do the same thing to the CF S90V Native Chief on "special order?"

If so, please PM me their contact info, thanks!

Well I know that you have to move quick these days. Doesn’t seem like they do large runs on much anymore.

I couldn’t pass this one up. REAL carbon fiber? Yes please.

Spyderco starts a Mule Team project and sometimes it does not come to fruition and sometimes a higher number is released sooner.

Mule Team CPM-SPY27 MT28P (USA) was in stock today at Spyderco.

Is that it for these then, or will they be intermittently back in stock? I've been woodworking this year, just built a bookcase, tackling knife handles seems like a perfect next step. Was excited to give this a try after reading through the info you posted, but they were gone within minutes it seems.

I’m right there with you, but started from the beginning. Had the first few handles made by others, then started doing them myself. It was a blast, every couple of months another one came out, so was looking forward to getting back out in the shop with a new handle project. I will be watching for these.

Excellent! List printed for future reference.

Didn't give it much thought previously and didn't realize that there were so many released.

I only have 2 Mules but you could create an entire collection just around them but asking prices for prior models is in the 3-7x's the original MSRP of $50 for all of the ones I've seen for sale but if you bought them as issued you'd now have a very valuable collection for which you paid very little.

Probably one of the "great" Spyderco "investments" if you were smart enough to collect them from the start, which I was not, but it's not too late to start since the release of MT29 and M31 is still pending.

The mind boggles . . . LOL! ;)

PS: Just discovered that you can you can find the list also posted on Spyderco's website but w/o the very useful clarifying comments made regarding the list posted above by RamZar RamZar .

See: Mule Team Project

For those few who did not already know, I also just discovered from Spyderco's description of the project that there's also Spyderco subforum dedicated to Mules where you can discuss them to your heart's delight.

See: Mule Team Discussion

Just goes to show how little I know about Mules but the info is out there if you know where to look for it.

Is there more than one CF Native Chief released right now. I'm seeing pics of smooth CF NCs. My NC coming from Knives plus is textured like peelply
