Any person who happens to like GSO knives ought to be able to come in here irrespective of the banishment of the S! subforum, to chime in about their experiences without the fear of being castigated and repercussions thereof. One can like the product without cheering for the Co's past / present practices. There are lots of parsing of words and sentences in here which I think are meant to set traps.

I am friends with Grog and I talk to him offline, often. I happen to disagree with him on GSOs as when I got out, I happened to find something much better for my tastes and for what fits me better. I do even razz him in private but that's between two friends. His claims of ad hominem attacks are spot on. If we respect you for your opinion that you neither like the products nor the Co and will not touch them both with a 10 foot pole, we also expect a fair stance if someone happens to like the product without liking the Co in its present dire straights. Both camps happen to be paid members of this community which you claim to cherish. Agreeing to disagree ought not cause an enemies list and some sordid name calling behind the back in W&C.

Maybe I'll swing in myself if I make a hunting trip up to northern Idaho this fall (if I don't pull my orders by than). Anyone up for a road trip between Kansas and Idaho? LOL

Take legal action then? It took longer than it was supposed to for my Busse Forsaken Mistress to arrive than it was supposed to but I won't cry about it and just be happy it showed up.

Are you kidding me? Something, twist into something you want, twisted into your self which has no resemblance to the original message is more like. Did you miss the part where I canceled my future S!K orders? Because I didn't want to wait, and I didn't wait for the forum police to take care of me.

I might have to Dan, after so long you feel too vested though. I've dealt w/o the funds this long so not really the issue at this point but I will have a couple Gray Wolf's to pay for soon though.

I get it 100%, Casino. I think an issue here is that for some of us, once a product is tainted by a company's unethical practices*, it's simply a poor product. It's rather like how many feel about a certain other company (recently shuttered) who sold knives based on lies told by the owner.

So, when someone comes in and says "Hey! You all shut up! It's a great product, and hey! They DID issue refunds!" as though we're supposed to handwave away the scam these people have (sorry, had) going here, I'm not sure how else we should have responded. It's been shown that indeed MayNotSurvive has broken laws. Don't really know what else needs to be said. Defending a middling product made by a trash company just really makes one look like a blind follower, no other real way to say it.

*I really am not sure what else you could call S?K's actions

That is also what I am expecting. Dave is a super great guy. Brian is another one. I don't know if he's still on board or not, but that doesn't matter. In either scenario any and all ought to be put right and taken care of. Some people seem to be unable to contain themselves. I happen to think that archiving the subforum was absolutely the correct move by the power-that-be at this stage of the affairs. It had just become a stagnant and sterile sub which really served no purpose other than negativity and the same talking points in a loop. If it "sparked" something under Guy's derriere to show us wrong and get on with the business of delivery knives to waiting fully paid customers, then I'd say good for this Site.

So, as I was saying: Which timeframe were you given on those orders? The same "It'll be to you in 90 days" like a bunch of others were promised or did they somehow give you an exact date (like they didn't give ANY of their other customers)? Just curious. Were you told it'd be two years or longer, or nah?

Busse doesn't require payment up front, it isn't in any way an equivalent situation.

As for your comment about taking legal action, I'm responding directly to your defense of Survive. You've repeatedly insisted that they aren't running a scam, but as I've repeatedly pointed out, their business practices have gone well beyond bad and firmly into illegal. I don't see any way in which that isn't a scam.

@Casinostocks If hypocrisy was gold you would be a billionaire considering you were always among the first to pile on anyone who wandered into the now defunct sk subforum and dared voice a complaint about anything. The about face to the seeming voice of reason is entertaining though. Thanks for the tidbit about the heat treat being an asset of the company, I've forwarded it on to an interested party.

Quit feeding the grog troll he is always attempting to get negative SK threads closed. The thread should remain open and active to give pause to any newcomer about tossing their hard earned cash can't survive's way. The only thing magical about an SK knife is if you actually get one.

Don't tell me what to do or what not to do and if you have a problem with my posts, use the REPORT button.

Other than that, you have been haranguing about using lawyers, "interested parties" yada yada ever since the very mention of Survive! surfaces on this Site. However, despite the lofty claims nothing ever came out of your bloviating claims. As far as your allegations of hypocrisy go, I very well remember the running pitch battles which I had with some of the posters on that now infamous thread a couple of years back, the thread which was started by MLM. At that time, I seriously had questioned those who had called Survive!'s practices as a pyramid scheme or a Ponzi scheme. I did what I did and I said what I said. If I made an enemy out of you that you can't get outta your head, that's on you. Otherwise, again don't tell me what to do or not to.

I'm not sure this is going to stay open long enough for me to report back. If it does, I will.

Stop saying- "They're the best knife at their price point". They are unavailable at that price point and they were never readily available at any price point.

No one will know What the actual cost of the knives was until they are all made and shipped or Survive! folds.

Personally- The longer this goes on the less likely they'll be able to fulfill their obligations.

I'm trying to find my other post when I had overtly stated to Survive! on their then Sub that if their mistreatment of customers vis a vis refunds were to continue, I'd come on them like a ton of bricks... Still searching for that one. Opinions can and may change based on facts and not only when it's trendy to do so!

So let's see if I get this straight:

You have now decided to shift your position from aggressively proactive, i.e, hiring investigators, attorneys, sleuths to investigate the hotel fire, contacting interested parties regarding D3V to a rather mild mannered reactive posture of wait and see what happens?

    I got it Mate. Cheers.

As long as we remain on topic, this should be able to get going. It'll be very good for a change to see that alongside expedited and speedy refunds, some folks will also report back that they're receiving their long past due orders.

Not really. I just don't find it worth the effort to read all your big worded blather when your not the problem, It's survive that will feel the impact not you so I don't actually care what you think. As I said I find your position switch entertaining and convenient, as in your an amusement, nothing more and it will be the last time I respond to your long winded tripe.

^:thumbsup: I'll actually be heading up to North Central Idaho either at the end of this month, or the beginning of September.
My best friend has a majestic 2000+ acre cattle ranch perched right above the South fork of the Clearwater River. Some of the best world class hunting/fishing/river kayaking/rafting on Planet Earth as well as being some of the most beautiful rugged high country I've been fortunate to spend a few years living around.

^ This has to be thee most enlightening, factual comment I've ever had the enjoyment of reading here in the GBU.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
This person you speak of, has to be one of the most nauseating commenter's, presently posting on this forum. He kind of reminds me of another commentator, one who used to love listening to himself spew his long winded diatribes, on MNF...Howard Cosell.
Thanks to the ignore feature, I wouldn't have even known (without reading your comment), that he was posting here, although I'm not surprised. There isn't a doubt in my mind, that he has ulterior motives for being involved here.

    ^ Word!
