Bossman's not sure why either, but it's something to do with security:

I’m hoping the ding comes soon. After the 23rd, I won’t be at my shipping address until January 2nd. I can handle a wait. You have to be able to if you’re into Busse. I just don’t trust the local browns with my package for a week an a half.

I’d like to clarify that I work in shipping, and we refer to all UPS drivers as browns. As in, “what can brown do for you?” We also refer to fedex drivers as feds, and usps drivers as government workers.
