I've got a dilemma but I'm not sure if it's rare. I kind of think it's common and not worry about it.
I find myself occasionally pulling out knives, looking at them. Can tell you everything about the first photo, waiting months and months, the unwrapping, looking for bandaids within 5 minutes.... but what is it? Can't recall the name???... Do I need to make a list? ... or go back through all my "Busses and Whiskey" pics? I saw one pop up in my FB memories like 6 years ago. Damn, it feels like a couple years LOL!
Yall keep a list? I should make a photo set with description I guess.... I remember stupid, pointless details great for story telling. But if we just met, shook hands, exchanged names, instantly I'm thinking wtf was his name?... and poof - it's gone.
To give this gibberish some purpose, What would make a great setup with backdrop to catalogue knives with photos? I've got a great digi cam, bought it for wifey, but honestly? today's phones? take some pretty awesome pics. I'm thinking I'd like to do it outside on a sunny day w/o direct sun .... Any random thoughts? or favorite glass of spirits of late is always appreciated![]()

Apparently you have come down with CRS Disease. It afflicts most people, especially men, when they start reaching about 50 give or take a few years depending on what kind of “Rock Star Lifestyle” you lived as a younger man. I. E. how much alcohol and chemicals you ingested through your youth. Don’t worry, there is really no known cure for this affliction so the only sure answer is to keep drinking and enjoy your life and what’s left of it. No reason to worry about names, faces and experiences are what counts anyway, right??? The biggest thing is to remember that Can’t Remember Sh-t Disease is NOT Contagious and unless you want to eat raw broccoli and drink spinach juice every day of your life, it will never kill you and memory is over-rated anyway.
As far as cataloging, recording, and labeling your collection, knock yourself out, it will consume some of your drinking time (or you can easily combine the two tasks, if you can remember where you hid the bottle of the “Good Stuff”) but will actually prove invaluable to your heirs when they are trying to figure out what to do with all these crazy knives. They will easily know what they have and if you include what you paid for them, they will know exactly what they have and are dealing with.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is to enjoy your collection. Now go beat the snot out of one of those Bad Boys!!! They can’t all be Safe Queens.

Had to wrench a few of my hooks out of the mouths of more than a few cooters lolThat rates up there with the Arkansas River Cooter. You can find them when you're kayaking on most of the rivers in Arkansas. Especially on holiday weekends...
