What did you use your SAK for today?

As with most days I popped the bonnet on my tractor with the bottle opener. Today I used my Spartan Economy

A quick repair to the belt sander was needed and the pioneer saved a walk to the tool box

My wife used the awl in her old huntsman to make a hole in a bottle lid so she can squirt liquid fertilizer on her indoor plants.

Removed a toy from its packaging for my boy.

Still on a quest to find my classics point of spontaneous combustion, so used it to build a fire for hobo dinners yesterday (mostly because my 12 year old didn't think it could be done).

I used my Minichamp as "dividers" or "compass" to check the accuracy of students' compass-and-straightedge constructions on a geometry test I was grading. I deployed the ink pen, and then used the nail file blade, open to varying degrees, as the other "arm" of my compass. (My "real" compass is apparently in my office, instead of being kept in my backpack so I can use it wherever I am.) Never thought I'd use the Minichamp this way, but it worked like a champ!

Used this DAK to work on a trailer brake light. No photo because my hands were full.

Used the Recruit to strip the sheath off some mains cable and driver to close the board back up once finished

Recruit again to strip cable at work, then large blade to open a vacuum sealed pack of chicken and slice it up for cooking. Tweezers for personal grooming.

Had maintenance class yesterday. Beyween that and work the night before, My classic opened stripped/cut wire(16 and 20 gauge), wired up two plugs, cut some 3/4" air hose, opened cardboard boxes, and skinned a roll of ink ribbon off a broken spool. Then in a test of pure endurance, cleaned the grease out from under my fingernails. 10 seconds on my pocket hone, and he was ready to rock and roll again.

Opening mail, received an order from Victorinox with some of the new folding paring knives and the new Winter Special Pioneer.

I cut open 1 tonne bags of starter fertilizer this evening. It's quicker then undoing the knots at the bottom.

I used the toothpick on my Classic to clean up after lunch. You don't want a pic. ;-)

Thanks mate, my Huntsman has the tools I need on the farm. I am lost without it.
