    Mammoth ivory necklace for my granddaughter's birthday to replace the one stolen out of mailbox. TC is a constant companion, too bad it rusts so easily.

    Yeah, but you use your knives right, and it brings out their charm. You know I named the burnt orange that came from you "June" - her blade looks remarkably similar, sans oxidation. And I think that oxidation is a nice complement to the orange on the cracks of those ivories.

    Something not so old for today: a 1985 Remington R4353 Woodsman replica (in jigged Delrin). I occasionally look for an original R4353 at flea markets and old stores.

    Through a fantastic deal on the exchange (thanks @3-1-1 ), I was able to score my first GEC. Actually, my first traditional since my Boy Scout Days. It's fresh out of the mail box and I just had to get a few glamour shots before putting her to use!
