That's an interesting method. I don't believe I've seen a sheath put together this way before

Lorien, do you rough up the gain side of the leather before you apply glue?

it's a huge pain in the ass. But ensures even stitches with a variable thickness welt, allows only as much welt width as necessary, and gives me a way to deal with adding a lining. I didn't think to use t pins for this until I saw

post up some pics of him using this method. Bought pins right away and it's much better than how I did it before. Up until that point I used locating holes and thumb tacks which was totally hit and miss

That's like a thousand times more micarta dust than I prefer to have around, it's like Escobar droped one of his bags on my grinder.
PS: For anyone wondering, sometimes when grinding, I get too focused and close and touch the top wheel with my face.

slowly but surely! This is about as far as I dare to go on the grinder. From here on out it's hand work for me...! That's those micro corbys around the outside of the frame ! they're a little finicky!

That polished up nicely! I like the way the colors and pattern in the spacer echo the handle...
