Sorry guys, I thought I posted this yesterday but just saw it sitting in the draft box.

Only bits of shop time in the last week. Spacers are all fit, now for end caps (#8). Then we'll start soldering.

I think I touched on this before but the smallest endmill I have is an 1/8" (.125). Since these tangs are thinner than that, for the end caps and guards I drill out two 3/32" (.093) holes and cut out in between with a jeweler's saw. Then it's on to needle files. Tedious, but damn I like the way peened tangs look and function.
(This will be cut in half and make two end end)

Mel's Birthday today, yet another Redmeadow May baby. Going out to one of them restaurant places tonight where they cook the food for you and you don't even have to do the dishes! Pretty sure there's a catch.

End caps are all fit, soldering guard next.

I like guards to be a little pillowy. I knock the edges down with a file and superglue them down to a block mounted in the vice. I let them hang over the edge just a bit so I can shape the bottom but also so a quick strike from a dead blow hammer (handy for a thousand things) will free it.
