Elusive Schrades

I've posted this knife before, but these are new pics! While "posing" it, I noticed that the file/screwdriver blade has firm half/stop and open snap, while the pen has a round tang, on the same spring, and is easier (but firm) to open and close. I suspect this knife was designed for the driver of a car with old-fashioned points type sparking, and this knife would be useful to clean and set the points!! I used to know how to do that!!
How else can a guy win LeMans with his Deuce Coupe??!!:D
Hardly used, though age-patina-ed, it's an interesting variation on Schrade Cut's Cattle/Scout pattern!!:)EE w file 1.jpg EE w file 2.jpg
Schrade made other tool-knives on their standard patterns! If you have one please post it for us to see!!:)

Oh yeah Charlie, I remember setting the points on my 57 Chevy and my 66 Volkswagen! Those were the days:eek::)!

That is a wonderful Schrade multi purpose equal end:thumbsup:

Here are 5 of my curve tang stamp elusive Schrades that I posted photos of in the “Old Knives” thread four or five months
back but thought they belonged in this thread also.

Should have come with a box of Wheaties. Nail breaker on main blade.

Here’s an interesting one, a schrade walden 861 but with yellow celluloid handles. It should be an 861Y, but doesn’t have a pattern stamp and 861Y doesn’t show up in the catalogs. Lovely condition, unused. A very pleasing find which has all the qualities of a nice 1950’s era schrade.
