Wow, learn a new thing everyday! Never had heard of Ambush Knives and just a quick research, they are certainly imitating Survive! Thanks for the info F_D as I now know what to stay away from
Manufactured by Bark River, they sell in similar fashion... don't ever pay the price on the box. It's the same product pricing model. And yes, if they didn't directly copy Survive, they were sure "inspired" by Guy.Wow, learn a new thing everyday! I went with this same handle choice on mine... both in CPM-3v.

you s! Hoarder!!
Ambush knives are fine for what they are. There was a time Guy had BRKT make knives for Survive.
Ambush, Northwoods, and a host of other brands from KSF & DLT serve a very large demo in the industry and I wish them all the best.
They by no means cheapen what Guy is doing in the slightest.
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
S!K borrows from other makers and companies in both design and business model, and others from him. It's how we progress as a species. It's why we have civilization. Competition.
Just to clarify, BRKT was hired by one of Guy's vendors to grind about 150 prototypes before Guy actually had his own grinder. The handles, sheaths, and packaging were all done by other entities. Originally, Guy thought he could be a designer and let others make the knives for him. Later, his "last ditch effort" was to buy a grinder to see if he could make them himself.
I am glad among many others here I'm sure that he decided to make them himself.Just to clarify, BRKT was hired by one of Guy's vendors to grind about 150 prototypes before Guy actually had his own grinder. Now we all know the actual reasons Survive has slipped some time targets! What's that, like $5K worth of cutlery there? Nice pile of metal, man.
Now, as Ellie the human (not the SURVIVE! employee), I have to say that I think you chose the wrong set of excuses to make your point. Ive given my life to this company and the one time my life needs me elsewhere it leads to a snide remark. It is disappointing, to say the least.
. So, if I may offer a simple suggestion based on my repeated experiences here and elsewhere... instead of griping and complaining, get to know the person on the other side of the "transaction" and build a relationship instead. It makes the wait so much more enjoyable. You will get your knife eventually, but you may also make some friends.
because we have found more in Survive than merely superior products.
without regard for the people... like Ellie the person, not the employee. There are those unfortunately who are not here for what you describe as "friends." There are those who just want a cheap trick. They aren't looking for relationship. And they're welcome to fly away... or suck it up and wait their turn... while they play with their Moras and Esees.... the latest round of excuses ...
