NEW 4.7 Thread

I hear you about beating on them. Guy just is making them too pristine as he is getting more experience. The 2nds with the exception of those extra divot stamps behind the handle scales are also very pristine knives. Hope you'll be getting you 4.7 preorder fulfilled when they get back to the workshop in July.

There will still be some work happening in June, just not all month. We only have one car so Guy will actually be stuck at the shop when my friend is here in a couple of weeks. I will still be in and out of the shop at that time too, so there will be some things going out. Guy will also be around the last week of June.

Haha that's exactly what I'm thinking. I may have to fondle it and appreciate the beauty of it for a day before I give it a whooping. I have a few Cypress trees that are waiting to be taken down by the 4.7.
I'm ok with waiting how ever long it takes. I just want the team to be able breathe a little bit this month even though the circumstances aren't good.

Sounds great Jim, hopefully no weirdos trying to hitch rides off us this time. I'm finishing up a vacation in Michigan, gotta head back to the real world soon.

To my absolute surprise, I just received a shipping notification from Survive! regarding my GSO 4.7 F-2nd which I had purchased on Monday 5/09.

Man oh man, the fact that Survive! is going to be dealing with some personal issues and not firing on cylinders in June and still managed to fulfill this order, speaks volumes that despite their lack of daily presence on here to babysit some folks, they have not been sitting on their laurels. I honestly was not expecting this fulfillment till mid July. THANK YOU SO MUCH SURVIVE!

Now, this is going to be a very eventful week for me as i have already received my Carothers Light Choppers, will be receiving my GSO 4.7 in a few days, the LC Wright Overland machete should be here tomorrow and the thanks for another Survivor (TreviTrace) I managed to find the GB Small Forest axe I wanted instead of my toylike Wildlife hatchet. I know that I have spent some sizeable amount of cayyysh on metal in the past months, but heck it is my own and there is no warden to whom Casino will need to respond to :p

Now you're rubbing it in (lol). Lesson to myself, know my handle color selection prior as soon as I drop the order in the basket on these Monday sales. Good to hear some of you all were able to get in on one of these past few Mondays.

Oh it was you then ;) I had forgotten who it was! Sorry

I was just keeping the expectations on the down low for you guys. Thank you for giving the plot line away ;)

eta friday june 3, nice early bday gift for myself. im hoping the 4.7 is the model i can walk around with on my hip without intimidating the local liberal hipster population.

So does 3V just look like the blade in that 4.1 over time, or is that a tumbled finish? I love it - has the lived in look - but I also love the bead blasted finish the new 3V has. Just curious what it looks like over time.

Here is the 4.7 from the 9th after I swapped the camo g-10 for the walnut from TRfromMT.
I like the handle contouring/size of this knife best of all the gso's. A very worthy gso 5 replacement model, and I like my 5 a lot!

my factory second has arrived and the only detectable flaw is a few minuscule finish scuffs. the 4.7 is exactly what I'm looking for in an edc fixed blade, I'm sure the 4.5 and 4.1 are also perfect options and I may have to snag a 4.1 when they become available. sad news is no micro texture. the coyote sheath is nice. here are the obligatory photos:

Also received mine in the mail today :)

Opened it up and it is wonderful, brilliant, fantastic and running out of superlatives as my A.D.D. has quickly shifted to the 4.7. Oh and before I forget in my state of self indulgence: THANK YOU TEAM SURVIVE!

I don't think that my Ghost Jade is microtextured, but that's fine. I can always buy more handle scales later on. This blade fits me better than the GSO 5.1 and I'm going to be offering my 5.1 on the Exchange soon.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU by infinitude :D
