"Old Knives"

Not all that old (early '80s), but still, a 1st Generation Bulldog with just a little speckling on the main blade.
Awesome bone and W&T.

Good information on the French Ivory Kevin.

Added this Cattaraugus Boys knife this week, early, hammered pins, no pattern number, close to unused with some rust spots, full blades with nice swedges.

You are a lucky Boy, Augie!!
:D Class act Catt!!
My new favorite knife in my humble collection. Aside from a bur on the steel liner (which I am leaving alone, not quite sure what it is it's a fiber caught between the cover and the liner) it's immaculate. Sorry for the artificial light and indoor pic.View attachment 942795
Great Coke Bottle, NS!!!

Thanks, Charlie, I guess we're really old school liking reverse frost etches!
Herder's is great as well, and also has a cool and seldom seen tang stamp.

haha Charlie I am sure that you have, tucked away somewhere my friend...

Jeff... Some of the German Jigged Bone has such defined Sharp edges and at times very deep Jig contours - Crisp? would that be a way of describing it?.... The Bone on that Knife is very

Thanks, Duncan! I have, besides this Bulldog, a Winchester and a Frank Buster Fight'n Rooster, all made by Olbertz from the late 1970s to the early '80s, and all have that gorgeous jigging on dark brown bone. From what I've handled, it's about as good as it gets.
