That ESEE is tempting... if it was a 6hm I’d be jumping. I’ve convinced myself I need a 5-6in blade, so am marinating on it...

I did the same thing for a quite a while. I had a few knives I kept back thinking I’d see something that really stuck out. Now all of those are gone, so I’ll have to think long and hard about future claims. Who knows, that may even be a good thing.

Its crazy.
Every stinking blade I use. I gave away all kinds of new in box stuff here....why?. Because going out and buying a bunch of popular, latest fad stuff, wasn't for me, or I had no use for it. At the same time, this thread provided me with things someone else had no use for, and my pif's then provided that service to someone else. Its beautiful really. Through this thread I got to find stuff I wouldn't even have thought of.
 
All's I have to say is this. Cause of this thread I've aquired most of your email addresses. If it gets shut down those who voted to do so will get bombarded with ads for ED pills and gay porn.

That being said I blew all my money on my new toy, somebody PIF me a custom leather pancake sheath for a ZT 0303.:D:D:p

Edit: must be no pif required. I'm selling my body to ship the pif @Poriggity claimed this morning:eek::D:D

D dsalazar sorry I forgot to mention, it is incandescent. It will come with some 25 & 60 lumen lamp assemblies. I personally use the 25 when hunting, it surprising how bright 25 lumens is out in the woods plus I don’t like lighting up everything. Off color is typical in that time frame.

Sounds interesting I’m used to leds. Besides the old mag light incans. Does he head get hot.
 
@kframe357 As you know, the Tenacious you sent me arrived safe and sound, thank you very much!

Here it is, all tuned up and dialed in the way I like it:

Straight, but rounded spine (if you know what I mean), basically zero ground blade at about 12 thou behind the edge, 20 degree micro, handle reprofiled to expose all the jimping, thumb hump reprofiled rounder like a Millie so as not to create a hotspot for the thumb in saber grip, as the Tenacious line is wont to do from the factory. I also cut out some of the "ribs" between the holes in the liners, bringing the weight down and evening out the balance after removing metal from the blade.

I plan to do this with all my Tenaciouses, including the one I am awaiting from D dsalazar and the three South paw draw South paw draw sent me in exchange for my modded S30V Shaman. Geometry cuts, and 8Cr13MoV is tough stuff, tough enough to shine in thin cross sections that send 204P and S110V scurrying away with their tails tucked.

It's funny how you mentioned that the Tenacious was your intro to "good" knives, as you said, but I am finding that it, and my modded Resiliences (I have 4) are becoming my go to for just about any kind of use, light or hard.

By the way, it did get some use on the first day it arrived. I pretty much took it out of the envelope and stuck it right in my pocket before work (after a quick look under the hood and oil change), every bit as excited for it, as I have always been for every new knife, including my $200+ knives.

Ooooooo oooooo ooooooo what did he do I wanna see I wanna see....... REK Knives REK Knives barely updates his WIP thread (ahemmmm) and I'm about $3 away from hold a sign in a intersection somewhere so I can't afford his work myself.:p:D:D

It’s like anyone’s guess as to wth is going on in the thread tonight. Maybe I’m dense but I’m totally lost. This Mark Bear guy just started posting and I’m not sure how many Busch lights he’s had tonight but it’s all of them.
