RENO CONVENTION -- please read.

Uncle Bill, do you know which place you will hold the convention at yet. My wife and I were probably going to stay at the one with the convention, seeing as how the price for rooms is not too different between them. Thanks:)

OK Guys, Time to take the gloves off.:)

Committment time. Airline fares are cheaper by booking ahead, amount of time needed, depends on individual airlines.

Also gives us time to negotiate on room prices if far enough in advance.

Uncle can't book a conference room for two days, if only two commit.
Than he decides to have it at the Titanic II and he can't hold us all, if all show up. Can't THAN get a conference room on short notice. Hotels like to know how many people will be supporting their Hotel/Casino. The more coming the easier for Uncle to negotiate.

PLEASE, PLEASE make your YES/NO Committments. THANK YOU Dale

I'll commit.

I may not be showing up before Sunday, though. I've driven to LA before, takes about a day. I think it will take a bit longer to get to Reno - farther north, and no really direct freeways that I can figure out.

Hwy 95 from Vegas to Reno is open road. Figure 8 hours and if you really push it (80 - 90 mph) 6 hours.

If we have ten or so we can handle it here in the Titanic II. 15 or 20 means a conference room. I've got an Indian buddy who owns a motel in Sparks (15 minutes, $15 by taxi to Titanic II, Atlantis or Peppermill) who says he'll rent us rooms for $35 per night. Decent enough little motel (Wagon Train 775-358-0468) and close to Nugget in Sparks. Tell them that Bill and Yangdu (the Nepali girl) who eat at the Nugget sent you.

yep and breakfast at the Nugget on Sundays is gooood except of the line to get in at least they have slots in front of the door

My wife and I will be there sometime Saturday unless snow/weather conditions prevent us from making it over from Northern California. My wife even set up a trip fund without my knowledge--I guess she's a keeper:D

My wife and I will be there Saturday. My only concern would be snow going over the hill, But that is why I have a big 4WD Suburban and a bag full of khuks:D

I'm pretty certain Rusty will make it on one day at least. With him I count 10 so far. Check me on this.
